About Rebecca Katherine Rose
Rebecca Katherine Rose is a stoneware sculptor and ceramic artist creating handmade ceramics that explore texture, form and space through clay. Based in Ballito ,KZN South Africa. Her work is inspired by the natural world, island surroundings and a love of contemporary architecture and interior design.
Each piece is individually shaped by hand, allowing the clay to guide the final form. Through an ongoing process of experimentation, Rebecca enjoys exploring how far the material can be pushed — discovering new shapes, surfaces and sculptural expressions through the making process.
Her ceramics range from functional tableware such as cups and candle holders to sculptural vessels and vases. With a focus on balance, tactility and expressive form, her work is created to live naturally within contemporary interiors.
Living close to the ocean, Rebecca draws quiet inspiration from the textures and rhythms of the natural environment. These influences often emerge subtly through surface patterns, movement within the clay and the sculptural silhouettes of her vessels.
Rebecca continues to explore new forms and ideas through clay, developing collections and collaborative projects that celebrate the intersection of art, material and space.
