About Rebecca Katherine Rose

Rebecca Katherine Rose is a self-taught ceramic artist whose work embodies a dialogue between stillness, nature, and form. Guided by touch and the meditative rhythm of hand-building and wheel throwing, she creates pieces that honour the natural world’s quiet poetry — the curve of a rock, the dancing light of the sun, the refined strength and structure of flower forms. Designed to bring a gentle presence into contemporary spaces.

Her inspiration flows from the textures and tones of earth — deep browns, warm oatmeal hues — contrasted by subtle pops of colour, prints and the independent tones of minerals such as iron and manganese. The influence of the Japanese, Vietnamese and island style ceramics runs through her work: an appreciation for the patience, simplicity, and profound stillness expressed. Though inspired by cultures and landscapes far beyond her own, her creations carry a universal sense of peace — a reminder of the beauty in presence, and the quiet honour of simply being.
